Motion detectors ensure that lights are automatically switched off and do not remain on unnecessarily. The line detector detects movement along a horizontal or vertical line with a range of 5 meters, which can be set at a specific height.

Examples:

VERTICAL: The detector is installed vertically at the beginning of the staircase, so the hallway light does not switch on continuously, but only activates when someone passes through the detection line—in this case, when going upstairs. It can be compared to a curtain detector, which only detects movement when someone walks past it, rather than when entering the space.

HORIZONTAL: The detector is installed horizontally, for example, to avoid being triggered by pets or even during sleep; this prevents lights in another room (e.g. the bathroom) from turning on due to movement in the bedroom.
